I have no clue how the event works. There doesn’t appear to be any logic in having players in the gallery who are unaffordable at the start because you cannot earn enough tokens to buy them and whose price then increases with their performance to make them even more unaffordable. Why have it in the game at all? Is it just to taunt the players?
if there is some grand scheme to make Mbappe and others available to anyone who has grinded each week then please can this be explained so we can work on getting the players?
it’s such a shame because I was really excited when this event came out. The idea that the 113’s might progress to a point where they became a 115 or more and a new player for the team was great. That soon turned to disappointment as the price for Mbappe went up and the question on how we could earn more tokens didn’t get answered.
I’m still confused and annoyed by it. EA, can you please explain? Is this a deliberate thing, or has someone dropped the ball?
Agreed. If you asked me to explain the mechanics of this event I couldn’t do it. And on top of everything else there are a number of us who have been locked out of selecting our weekly players. It’s happening again this week (which would be my fourth time during the event) and EA has done nothing to fix it or compensate those of us affected. At this point I’m beyond frustrated with this game and with this company. They take our time and money and give us a poorly-conceived, bug-riddled mess in return.
And I thought I was frustrated….. you’d think UEFA would be angry their reputation was being sullied and pressure EA to stop their flagship club competition being damaged……..
This event made little sense to me from the beginning. It had interesting aspects and ideas, but it didn't have Icons, and in the end, it never lived up to its potential with dynamic OVR. The numbers never added up, nor did the logic in my opinion, so after I provided my feedback (seen a lot of similar sentiments behind the scenes, especially on disappearing exchanges/store packs to supplement the shortage), didn't bother with it and not even doing the daily matches past getting the gems. Personally, I'd like to know why it's a side event instead of the main, what happened to UECL and UEL outside of weekend challenges?
Either way, I had 0 interest in it, no heroes or icons, so outside of coin/gems, it is/was just meh at best.
Figuring out the logic? Pass.
