Re: Ultimate Challenge Mode final is too hard - needs rebalance
We’ve been complaining about the difficulty of the UC final for several weeks, but instead of addressing a legitimate concern EA seems to have double-downed. Now it’s the semi-final where you encounter ludicrous difficulty! Are the devs just having a laugh at our expense? Sure seems like it. 😒
I’ve played the semi-final match three times now with a 125 OVR squad and can’t get closer than a 2-3 loss. Same issues as many of us reported with the final in prior weeks — my players feel like they’ve been nerfed (they feel sluggish and bad touches abound). My inputs also feel delayed (like a H2H match with latency problems). I like a little challenge, but, as I’ve said before, this does not feel fair or fun, and it certainly isn’t worth my time to play it over and over for a lousy 500 gems.
Many of us find FCM a lot less rewarding than it used to be. Much of it has to do with EA’s hyper-monetization of the game. Is the Ultimate Challenge now in the company’s sights as the next area they plan to claw back value? At 500 gems per round you’d think EA would have better things to do, but we’ve not got a lot of evidence to suggest otherwise. Three weeks of ignored feedback on the final and now a semi-final that’s virtually un-winnable sure begs questions about what they’re doing and why. It sucks to have to take such a cynical view of things, but really need to see action from EA to demonstrate its misplaced.
