Ok guys - so here’s the thing - you have a sensible feedback post that is highlighting gameplay issues, but then someone gets fixated on their being scripts, or algorithm, or whatever you want to call it that kick in ensure that you lose … and this is where what has been a useful post, that provides considered constructive feedback gets chit down because discussions about scripting (which btw does not exist) are in breach of the terms of service.
so - a couple of points:
VSA chances are random - there are buckets of 10 and within each bucket of 10 you will get X great, Y good and Z basic picked at random from each pool.
At the lower levels of VSA, it can tend to feel like the good chances are pretty good, irrespective of where they start, because your lower OVR defenders tend to be a bit 💩, but once you get higher up and are playing better players at similar OVR, those chances tend to feel a lot harder because the AI defenders have way better stats.
Yes, some of the good chances are 🐂 💩, and the only way they are good is if you are playing a side of OOP bronzes, and the team does keep an eye on those by looking at completion stats, and if need be will tweak or remove them to make them a bit less 💩
However, there is not, and never has been, some sort of script/algorithm that will look at your progress and line up and decide that it is going to favour your opponent over you simply because they have lower OVR … if you think about that for a moment, if there was such a thing, wouldn’t everyone be dropping their OVR a few rungs below the considered norm so that they could utilise that script/algorithm to progress through the ranks 🤷♀️
I mean, I am a couple of OVR off peak FC Champs level, and I absolutely don’t get the “script” kick in when I am getting my **bleep** handed to me by the higher OVR players that I need once I hit my skill level … which is, of course, because they is no “script” and there never has been!
Anyway, if you reached the bottom of this, I have closed the thread (per the terms of service) as it has [edit: the hallmarks of a thread that is about to] devolved into a discussion on scripting [edit: and I don’t want that to take away from the substance of the points provided when the gameplay team review it].
jobjjobj - if I hear back from the gameplay team, I will re-open the thread and let you know what they have had to say about the points that you have raised.

I just want to emphasize #5 & #6 (jobjjobj’s post). I
n the last month, so-called “good chances” have become much, MUCH harder to score. In fact, I wouldn’t rate them as “good” at least half of the time. My players inexplicably take bad touches, move more sluggishly, fail to accurately complete skill moves and miss previously easy-to-convert shots at a much higher rate than a month or so ago. Two months ago I was at +50 FC champions. Last month I was at +20. This month I’ve not been able to reach higher than +12. The quality of my team has kept pace with my opponents, but I see FAR more possessions where a failed outcome seems almost predetermined and where supposedly “good” chances are marred by unpredictable player performance that has nothing to do with my inputs. VSA used to be the most reliably consistent (if repetitive) aspect of Division Rivals, but this has changed dramatically to where it feels rigged nearly 50% of the time. I now find it almost as frustrating as MM (which is saying something!).

- Fast swipe shots go slowlly
- Players dont sprint
- Touch passing broken
- Chance algo against a lower ovr ensured a draw. So many "designed to be unscorable" good chances.
- Bad first touches and unpredictable input delay

(and yeah - I have found a dead spot or the right wing where it just doesn’t seem to pass - although, every time I press record a miracle occurs and every pass works 🤣)
