What did they do to the market?

Look! 

In the old days, buying a max OVR player cost around 3-4 billion coins. At most, it would go up to 5 billion coins. Even then, only a few players were good based on their fame.
Now, July 2026, days ago i saw that buying a RB costs 20 bil!!! Wow it's 20 BILLION!! Lol. 
Additionally, with 10-20 bil, you even can not buy a player you really want as it's not available. So what's the point of market? 
Now, looking at the market, it's so crazily depressing, I don't even want to talk about it. It doesn't bring any added value to users. Even buying low-OVR players, you can't even exchange them for shards, it's ridiculous.

 EA has really ruined this game.

    True I bought a 117 player cost me over 800m and made him untradeable so that I can exchange him for shards but wasted my money because I didn't see him in the list which is so unfair it's hard getting shards if you aren't a money spender

    100% agree. Market is pointless right now. Coins are pointless. EA has manufactured so much scarcity of the meta cards that it’s made the market totally obsolete. I’ve been saving coins for most of a YEAR and currently have approximately 4.5 BILLION, yet there isn’t a player I can afford who will improve my team (because you can’t get an OVR 120, or most 119s for less than 10b). That’s just dumb!

    EA has become so hell bent on coercing users into spending $$$ that they’ve broken what was once a viable/useful aspect of the game — the market. Question is:  Do they realize it and do they even care?

    haha this is really ridiculous mate, anyway it will be still the same for a long time ahead, with the introduction of sh** called Signature players recently :)
