Not a massive demotion. Just a rank below, which applies to many competitive games in the market. This might help filter players who initially ranked up and are inactive for longer periods.

It's painful when you are 2-3 matches draw/win away from promotion but got relegated due to season end.. that time it becomes massive demotion.

    Near the end of VSA Season 6, I played 81 consecutive matches hoping to reach World Class I but could only get to 574,000 fans (World Class II) before Season 7 started. Once again, I started back at World Class III and 420,000 fans for the fifth season in row. I was more casual with Season 7 and got to 563,800 fans. So for the sixth consecutive season, I was back at World Class III. It is incredibly demoralizing. It seems that EA Sports FC is only for those who have the financial resources to build a strong team quickly and for those who have a lot of time to spend on this game.

      @CrashNodar13 The demotion thing this season makes little to no sense … it has been acknowledged by the team, but I don’t think it is easy to change part way through the season.

      Hopefully when the next season comes they will remove it

      @CrashNodar13 Per Mendoza, they are unlikely to make changes in mid season. Me too, used to be at the 1M fan last few years in h2h. This year, I can't even be bothered to go 1m fan in h2h and vsa. Playing just bare minimum to build team I like. No point chasing high ovr cos end of year, you start from scratch again.
