Why haven’t coin rewards kept pace with market inflation???

It used to be that meta cards were capped at $5 billion (which was already an astronomical price), but they are going for 3x-5x that much and we’re still receiving rewards in the thousands. This makes coin rewards virtually worthless and the transfer market virtually worthless.

In the past, the transfer market was a useful place to obtain the odd meta player (even for F2P users who saved their pennies), but in recent months it’s become yet another useless aspect of the game. I’d really like to hear EA explain how it is that they think the transfer market is still working for the majority of players (because I don’t think it is), and why it is they’ve resisted increasing coin rewards to keep pace with inflation? Sure seems like a cynical attempt to squeeze users for more money. What am I missing, EA?

  • The devil's advocate time, 😈. I wouldn't call it inflation, it's a linear progression with a regressing amount of rewards.

The top cards in the market are being manipulated by hardcore market players/manipulators who then boast about making billions in their content vids, like that guy who made ~600bn on Mbappe, or Dembele? Can't remember.
I have a considerable amount of coin from past market playing (I was pretty good at it too), yet I can't get any of the top Icons despite trying to snipe purchase cards (this goes before the likes of RenderZ started to list the card refresh times so quite efficient with selling/buying hot cards). Even one of my past league mates, who is the market mastermind, said it's pointless to even try.
Totti, Nedved and Gullit 120 were prime examples of how the price plummeted, then went right back up to absurd levels, and were never actually available.

The other issue is whatever scarce resource is out there, it's split between 6 ranks, which just makes it easier to manipulate the rare stock. What should be happening is having the ability to transfer ranks like in the past (or now the training with the usual penalty tax), so then you can only sell a base card, increasing the pool, but we don't have that, so people manipulate the hell out of the market. This has been fed back/suggested to the devs, as even whales can't buy anything in the market despite having the coin.

The rewards thing is on a broken record loop whenever I talk to some of the devs, as the game is not rewarding the monetary and time input from the players. The biggest issue is the ongoing spam of Transfer Tokens. Look at completing the Juve lineup in the badges, you get 5k TT for something hard to achieve by many players. 5k of the most useless resource in the game.
Star Passes have been nerfed, you can finish it in 5 days, leaving you with 23 days of 2k coins and some lame ~70 cards per level, which also has been nerfed down to 20k a pop (some could reach several thousand). Assuming you pay for a Pass, its yea, not cool.

It's the same problem with the league rewards, after Level 50, you get nothing, yet reaching Level 100 is extremely hard, meaning it's not worth the effort.

Lastly, wait till you get to level 250; it's the max, so it spams pop-ups that you levelled up with every event skill you play, and it's irritating, and I miss the pittance of 200 gems from now on (yes, it was fed back too, heh).

This is the max level in the game.

EA plays with market as much as they want. I lost 7 billion on VDS in a wrek. Lets see will he recover even half of that now he has only purchase orders 🤔 I don't think so and that shows how they manipulate or allow others to manipulate.

As far as all rewards go, its too low for any rewarsa. Level up is still 200 gems (same for getting to level 2 or 200). League rewards after lvl 50 are nothing and logic is they should be higher to reward the effort. But they can't milk money out of those parts of the game and its not interesting for EA
