Why is this game giving me opponents that are impossible to beat?

    @5da0e4efc5f6e705 good questions

VSA is not directly connected to the other players gameplay, only the scores are connected, so it is possible that if either of you have a slow connection, or you are just at the opposite sides of the world, the score will jump because it has taken some time for the other players score to reach you … it can also be that the opponent is cheating, but I believe that usually manifests as the score changing at the end rather than mid game.

You will hit AI bots at the very low levels of fans/cups because there is not the critical mass of players for you to match with at or around your fan/cup count - they tend to be base OVR cards with no ranks or training, so the opponents stats are low, and for the most part they are relatively easy to beat (because in VSA they usually don’t score more than 7 or 8, and in h2h they won’t really defend unless you sprint)

In VSA you always play the AI representation of the opponent, so whether it is a bot account or a real player account it will have no impact on the defence that you are up against … if the gameplay is patchy, given that you are playing a game mode that does not rely on a connection, it is likely a device issue moreso than anything else. If you are using an Android device then clear your cache regularly before gameplay and it might assist. It could also just be choppy gameplay, you hit the odd game that seems like it is either sped up or slowed down, but if it’s doing it consistently then clear your cache (Android device settings) or reboot your device (Apple or Android).

    Hope that helps 👍

  • Looking at the score chart, you didn't score a lot of goals. I've played FC Mobile for abour 2 weeks actively now (reached OVR 96), but the thing with VSA is interesting.

After you've repeated the game mode long enough, you basically have to learn to read the field more and counter the defense in various well-timed ways, and score a goal mechanically. At least what I've played, you tend to loop the same 6 or so situations over and over again, so you start learning the positions from which you'll surely score, almost with 100% certainty. I rarely score only 3 goals after finally learning the trade.

    Having said that though,

    A. there probably are a lot of AI bot players amongst the accounts,

    B. I've suspected (perhaps it's just me) that there is a built-in mechanism to limit the amount of success in the score chart you can have within the game.

The thing why I suspect this is, I myself reside safely in the 360-400,000 fan zone in Pro I, but am considerably below the OVR "standard" in this league. Most of my opposing teams are from 97 to 100 OVR, or along those lines.

It would make sense from a charting and contribution standpoint to not give a "lower OVR" player too much possibility to succeed. I have the feeling sometimes that either the game starts glitching or that I run across defenders or goalkeepers that are simply inhuman in comparison to the vast majority.

  • @hlyi7dzg4q9f Matchmaking is based on fan count and chances are determined by OVR - based on your chance distribution you appear to have a relatively low OVR for the fan count.

Chances are also in buckets of 10, so if you take a long time on each chance compared to your opponent (11-12 chances bs the average of about 14-16 when you miss a few) you will have less chance to get additional good or great chances from that extra bucket.

There is no evening things out along the lines of what the poster above said - it is all based on fans, OVR and the random selection you get from each bucket of 10 chances.

Build your OVR, take your chances quickly, and you will begin to progress
  • Affirmative. I just played a match where I had scored maybe 5 goals, and then the score of my opponent all of a sudden jumped from 0 goals to 6.

What do you think this is though? A connection error, then a reconnect to level the current stats?

Also, what is your take on AI bots? I understand the (bot accounts) are needed to be able to offer a decent equally ranked opponent regardless of availability of real human players currently online. They have the certain characteristics like generally not replying much with the emojis, passing continuously over the side, etc.

I am still confused about those occasions that I wrote about where all of a sudden an opponent has a defender who runs almost inhumanely fast opposed to the vast majority. Is this just Pace-stats maxed out or what?

All my opponents in EA FC Mobile 25 are able to press so aggressively and in a well coordinated manner. Any time I get the ball, they overwhelm me with players everywhere, blocking all passing lanes to my players. I am virtually not allowed to play. It feels as if I am playing against the AI and the opponent because my players don't press the same way or even move around. They give the opponent spaces to pass into. When I score, it feels like I **bleep** off the AI. My players get worse with the opponent being allowed all manner of dubious ways to try to equalize. This happens every game. Is there any settings I am missing with the pressing or all my opponents are cheating? I have to be perfect to be able to get the ball to the opponent's half. The game has been made so hard for me to play. I need help
