Very thin content. Dailies, weekly training, and 12 rounds in the gambling section (assuming one has saved rivals points) can be completed in 30 minutes. Now what?

@mendozzamagic I disagree, Dailies, 2 skill games and 2 easy half matches plus gifts, is about 5 minutes, The hard section of the weekly training is 6 skill games and a third match (literally a third of a match), 10 minutes. Leaves 15 minutes for the gambling section. I converted my leftover Rivals points to tokens. 900 Rivals points is 1500 gambling tokens. Play the course to complete 12 rounds to collect all featured rewards (I chose 1 Dudek, 1 Mascherano and Iota) and voila the bulk of the event is done.
Sure there are still some tasks to do, quests to complete, and un-challenge mode to play, but the guaranteed reward part of the event is done. Hence my assessment that the content is thin.

There needs to be a balance between having so much that people can't complete it, and enough to keep them interested.
I think the addition of the optional harder daily skill game/match is good ... i don't want 4 daily full matches like in previous events though, i just don't have time for that- tomjam0992 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
@mendozzamagic@EA_Illium tbf the event is not all bad. There are a ton of resources to claim, in fact so much that you are forced to train your players to keep your inventory from overflowing. There is daily content and a bunch of quest s to complete. There is a challenge mode for some additional goodies, though the challenge mode is not challenging, at all. The ubiquitous gambling, that folks love so much, got a much needed facelift. And if you kept grinding rivals you carried over a bunch of gambling currency to go around the board some 25-30 times.
My critique is the same as in previous events. The content is too easy to be engaging. All matches are auto-playable and skill games, well, are skill games, over in 10-30 seconds. The quests are always the same and the only quest that is somewhat demanding (some would say annoying) is the header quest.
So if you are new, a casual gamer (log in a few times a week), don't have or want to spend much time in the game (less than 30 mins a day) or love gambling, this event (in fact all events) is for you. The folks that love gaming, need a challenge to be kept engaged or are just plain nostalgic about what the game used to be (3-5 years ago), are left out.
I don't know how much influence EA still has on the event development now that (if rumour is true) it is outsourced to Nexon, but ideally there should be something in the game for all customer groups (with rewards that make it worth spending the time). Balance the gambling with objectives for top rewards. Make it challenging for a 94 to 96 player (who remembers the slippery slope challenge from s5, that kind of challenge). There is 5 weeks to beat a challenge. Hell, one might even get better at the game.
