If you've played FC Mobile long enough, you've probably experienced this at least once: your team is 109 OVR, your opponent is 101 OVR, and somehow your players suddenly forget how to play football.
Your elite striker, who normally buries every chance, starts missing open goals. Your midfielder with ridiculous passing stats can't complete a simple five-yard pass. Defenders stand still, ignore runs, or lose every tackle. Even your goalkeeper begins conceding shots that should be routine saves.
This is what many players refer to as "momentum."
EA Sports has never officially confirmed that such a system exists, yet the community has been talking about it for years. The most frustrating matches often seem to happen against weaker teams. Your players feel slower, heavier, less responsive, and every loose ball somehow ends up at your opponent's feet.
The worst part usually comes late in the game.
You're leading 1-0 in the 85th minute. Suddenly your opponent transforms into prime Barcelona. Every pass connects. Every rebound falls perfectly for them. Your defenders forget how to mark attackers. Your midfield stops tracking runs. Then, in the 90th minute, after a series of lucky bounces and impossible deflections, the equalizer goes in.
At that moment, it's hard not to feel like the game is working against you.
Maybe it's hidden balancing mechanics. Maybe it's dynamic difficulty adjustment. Maybe it's just bad luck and confirmation bias. Whatever the explanation, the experience feels incredibly real to many players.
That's why one phrase continues to circulate throughout the FC Mobile community:
