Sorry, @mendozzamagic, but that seems a bit too simple: if the servers cannot handle the game being played, why would a player play at all? The lag is so extreme the image falters and stutters enormously. It makes the game almost unplayable.
- @gtvv86 yep - it is simple - 3 main causes of lag are:
distance from the server (of you or your opponent)
traffic between you and the server
traffic on the server
or a combination of the above.
sometimes it is great, sometimes it sucks, but if like me you live a looooong way from the nearest server then h2h always sucks.
You could also have a device cache issue if you are on Android - clear that sucker before each gameplay session and you might find that it improves (although cache issues more often cause crashes, rather than lag)Your explanation sounds very legit, but I find it strange that this started all of a sudden a few days ago.
