Lost Account

I'm just curious, can I unlink an FC Mobile account linked to EA? My previous account progress disappeared for some reason. When I created a new account on the same EA account and searched for it using the ID, it was online. I casually asked for a friend request and was immediately rejected. Does anyone know why this could happen? like, how can someone easily disconnect an EA account or something like that
