Re: Cheaters in FC Mobile

@MrGrandpaSteve Genuinely asking, what more than a moderation team of one or two people regularly checking the reports and banning the cheaters is needed? The cheats I am talking about are neither cunning nor subtle. If someone scores 70 on a LvL or 17 on a VSA session, he/she is cheating. What could be more obvious? No in depth investigation is needed for such cases, which are 90% of all cases anyway.

@Rallph78 They get reported regularly - and many will get given a short or a long holiday - thing is they can create another account with the exact same name and start again and you would never know 🫤

There are also strict privacy laws that EA needs to comply with, so they can not identify when a player has been banned, particularly if it turns out that the ban was not justified.

Unfortunately it is a legal minefield and while they are doing everything they can (as it is a blight on the game and would be costing them millions) it is clearly not enough to be able to stamp it out properly.

@mendozzamagic I track some tens of notorious names on both VSA leaderboard and League leaderboard. If they were getting banned and coming with the same name, they would be disappearing from the board and then popping up again when they climb the ladder back with their new account. And they simply don't disappear. They are always there. I can name fifty names instantly, but it is against naming and shaming nonsense.

Furthermore, there is literally ZERO risk legally for banning so many of these guys, as it is impossible to score 17 on a VSA session or 90 on a LvL session. There is no risk that the ban is unjustified.

I am sorry. EA is simply being ignorant about this. Not to mention, it is a very easy task to completely prevent modified apps to login. The year is 2024 you know. It is my profession so I know what I am talking about. I code security appliances.

Last but not least, the H2H number 1 had the link of the hacked software he was using, on his profile, for weeks. People literally followed that link and downloaded the software. It really does not look like they are doing everything they can, does it?

Anyway, this was a hopeless attempt. I knew I would gain nothing. It is heartbreaking to be right.

@Rallph78I agree completely that EA developers are aware of various software MODS that can be purchased to “illegally” change the game’s normal coding functions. However, you must realize that stopping the sale of these software MODS would require huge $$ and €,£,¥ amounts of high-expense international legal services. Those substantial legal expenses would rock EA’s bottom-line and will thus never be implemented. It is what it is.

@Rallph78 banned players - especially temporary banned players - do not disappear from the leader boards otherwise it would be identifying them as banned.

Believe me, if it was simple it would be done ... it's not, and there are a multitude of legal issues that tie the terms of services team in knots.

It sucks, it feels like they are doing nothing ... but they are doing everything they can within the scope of what they are able.

@mendozzamagic Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be a *. But isn't it absurd?

I mean... These guys are criminals. They are literally harming EA financially. What they are doing is no different than going in a shop, damaging some products, stealing some and spitting on the cashier's face. And you are telling me, if the shop owner does nothing but only ask the security to take the out of the shop, the shop owner is in trouble! How does it make sense?

And you are telling me, EA has a ToC that can't cover this so they would get in trouble legally? Then they should fire the team responsible for putting the ToC together, seriously.

Thanks for the responses anyway. 🙏 Not many people do that nowadays. Also, I think this matter requires an "official" public statement, so that people are not left in the dark.

    Cheers.

@Rallph78 Believe me, I have asked similar questions many times - they are doing all they can within their power, its just not working very well and all of us (EA included) ave suffering as a result.

By all means be mad that it is a blight on the game and that EA seems to be dang little about it … but also consider that if people didn't buy cheats, or make money out of selling cheats, there wouldn’t be a problem to get mad about.
