As a follow up, the original EA rep should be fired for giving out bad information. Per the instruction I was given by the rep I was told to open a dispute with my credit card to get 50% of the money back. That was not at all true by any means, in fact PlayStation has effectively suspended my account due to a chargeback. Apparently if you dispute ANY charge on your account you will effectively have your account, and your console on suspension. That is right due to bad instructions I can not play any game on PlayStation until they decide to lift the suspension.
I am very upset with EA. They have ruined the Madden 24 experience. I wish I could just exchange the PS5 version for Xbox Series X version now. I would ask for a refund on the whole game, but since it is handled via PlayStation and not through EA or this message board, I am at their mercy. I am extremely disappointed in PlayStation. I have been a PS guy since the beginning of PlayStation, I have never felt so let down. They treated me like I was garbage on the phone, their customer service is second to none on needing a massive overhaul.
In conclusion, EA next time you offer 50% off of anything, do it on the front end, get your crap together and give out accurate and correct information and for the love of God, take responsibility when you mess up. I feel the least you can do to make this situation whole is allow me to play on Xbox while this thing hopefully gets sorted out with PlayStation. Which by the way I am told could take well over a week to undetermined amount of time to fix.
