Try booting in Safe Mode and then choose Option 5, Rebuild Database:

Thanks I had done the the database rebuild as well.

I am going to be really disappointed if I have to Start over again.  So frustrating.

OK.  So here's how I solved it.  Hopefully useful for others

Before I found the solution, worth saying what did not work

1) Turn off PS4 and restart

1a) Turn off PS4, leave unplugged overnight

2) Sim Week 17, first week where error occurred, Sim week 17 & 18 go straight to playoffs

3) Reload an early save and play back to week 17, error only started in Week 17

4) Start PS4 in safe mode and rebuild the database

5) Delete and reload the game

6) Re initialize the PS4

There might be one or two other things I tried that I can't remember right now.

The other odd thing about this both the autosave and a manual save in Week 17 would not load.  I would go to the load screen, click on the file to load and it would just return me to the load screen.

As a last ditch effort, I simmed the entire playoffs and went to the offseason.  Presto it works again.  I can play games, I can save and load properly.

I believe this is likely a Madden Bug not a hardware/system bug on my side/PS4 side.

Error occurred in Week 17 of 2034, 2035 and 2036.  The error happens after clicking finish game and when the screen is switching to the second Superstar screensaver.  I think the game is writing something to the DB at this point and the game encounters the error.  I can go to the next season and the error does not occur again until Week 17.  I am at Week 16 of 2037 and I anticipate the problem again. It's not terrible and simming past the error is the work around, I can play the SB and it will save successfully after the SuperBowl.

It Continues to happen.  I thought it was possible that I had amassed so many Records with Chris Olave that might have been causing the problem. But he retired.  Now it is getting worse. The error occurs now earlier than Week 17.  I used to be able to sim past the Super Bowl and reload the Superbowl week and play the superbowl,  that's no longer working.  I can still sim the rest of the season & post season and play the next season until the error occurs again.

Is it possible that on PS4 Madden has problems with the database so deep in to a franchise mode?  I am in 2040 now, I know it's silly but I really want to play through my Coaches retirement, would be great to actually play all games within a season and post season.
