Game is lagging while playing games

I have never had and issue with a game lagging when i wasn’t playing online. In my franchise that’s just me and 31 computer teams my games are so laggy. I’m playing on the PS5 and I have game where i can see the ball skip down the field. And I’ve also had games where it seemed like the game was a second or two behind what was happening on the screen. Is this something that is being addressed or is it time for me to request my refund already? I know that the pc guys were have some lag issues when running high frame rate with their big graphics cards but in console there is no reason for it to be lagging like this. Again, this is not during online play and it’s not slow loading screens. This is legitimately the game not being able to keep up with itself and a normal user vs. computer franchise game.
