Madden 24 - franchise mode coach retire

I just finished a season in Franchise mode with the 49ers. After the season, Kyle Shanahan retired. 

I had to make a new coach and transfer the commissioner to my new custom coach. Ok fine.  

Now my franchise is stuck on the “staff offseason week”. No matter what I do I cannot move forward. There is no option to advance a week. Even when I go into the “scout players for the draft” option everything is locked. I can’t do anything. 

It’s pretty frustrating to be many seasons into a franchise and not be able to continue. 

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix?
