Hey All,
This issue should have been resolved with the maintenance. As we still have reports of this happening, please run through the following steps and if they do not help, please provide is the detailed info below.
Xbox StepsSpoiler- Quit all running Apps (For Series X|S consoles)
- Remove any connected device, or additional USBs from the console then restart the Xbox and check for updates
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open you're Xbox NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public Google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4)
Persistent Storage
- Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
- Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
Alternate Mac:
- Go to settings > Select General > Then Network settings
- Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
- Select restart
Info We Need:
Spoiler- Platform:
- Which console generation do you have?
- What is your Gamertag/PSN ID?
- Date/time issue occurred
- What type of issue do you have?
- Which mode has this happened in?
- Which part of the mode?
- Summarize your bug
- How often does the bug occur?
- Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?
- What happens when the bug occurs?
Once we have that info we can send it back over to the team and have them take a look.

- Platform: series x
- Which console generation do you have? Next gen
- What is your Gamertag/PSN ID? xBriingax
- Date/time issue occurred everyday since early release can't get past 1st or 2nd quarter
- What type of issue do you have? Freezing the get dash boarded some times freezes then turns my xbox off
- Which mode has this happened in? All game modes
- Which part of the mode? In a game in 1st or 2nd quarter it don't happen in menus
- Summarize your bug
- How often does the bug occur? Even time I load up the game if I try play h2h ultimate team,superstar even challengers
- Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?
- What happens when the bug occurs? It freeze in game then it dash boards me some times it freezes then turns my xbox off

@EA_Shepard iv already tired the steps u posted many times even tried reinstalling my game 3 times still no luck I have filled out the info that you have posted hopefully the team can fix it has I'm a heavy champs playing trying to spend money

@EA_Shepard Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I have already tried these steps as @EA_Illium already suggested these steps on 8/16/2023.
I've factory reset my console, changed all the suggested settings, reinstalled the game 3x. No luck, same behavior. I've reported this issue to Microsoft and they suggested to work with you. I've reached out to EA Help and they left my ticket open since this isn't fixed.
- Platform: Xbox Series X
- Which console generation do you have? Current gen, Xbox Series X
- What is your Gamertag/PSN ID? Litsconnie223
- Date/time issue occurred? Every time I play. I played on 8/15, 8/16, 8/18 between 7pm CDT - 11pm CDT. Time varies between 11am CDT - 4pm CDT on 8/19, 8/20
- What type of issue do you have? Anytime i'm playing the game where a football match is involved, the game crashes after a few minutes and sends me back to the Xbox dashboard.
- Which mode has this happened in? All of them. Quick play, Mini camp, Online H2H, MUT solo battles, MUT challenges, MUT house rules, MUT H2H.
- Which part of the mode? During the first few minutes of the mode.
- Summarize your bug? The game freezes while playing and sends me back to the Xbox Dashboard. I have to start the game up again after this happens.
- How often does the bug occur? All the time. See above. I have not been able to complete a match.
- Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play any match of Madden for an extended period of time on Xbox Series X
- What happens when the bug occurs? The game freezes and sends me back to the Xbox Dashboard.

Platform: Xbox Series X
Gamer tag: MattRads10
Date: Been happening since Madden 23. But Friday 8/18 for Madden 24 when game released.
Issue: Middle of game and game either shuts down and boots me to Home Screen or will just shut off Xbox.
Mode: Every mode. Notice it mostly in online franchise during a game.
Bug: Game just shuts off in middle of a game. Can never finish a user game and have to resume about 5-20 times in a regular game against CPU
Occur: Every time. Sometimes I’ll get in about 10 minutes of game play other times it’s 2 minutes
Steps: Play an online franchise under my EA account. You’ll figure it out in the 1st or 2nd Quarter.
What Happens: My game stops and kicks me back to Home Screen or Xbox Shuts completely off.
