Summarize your bug Xbox Series X completely shuts off in the middle of the game resulting in me getting a loss. This can happen during both online and offline gameplay.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It happens randomly, I haven’t seen anything consistent to determine what causes this.
What happens when the bug occurs? Xbox will completely boot off and requires the physical power button on the console to be pushed to be turned back on.
What do you expect to see? A fix implemented that doesn’t result in the console crashing. This only happens on the Series X, I’ve never had it happen on the Series S.

This has been happening since Madden 21 rolled out onto next gen consoles. A fix would be amazing as it can be super frustrating to be awarded a loss when you’re winning, especially this year where stats don’t track unless you get the win.

Hi @EA_Barry ! Thank you for the quick response. At first I thought it was overheating but it’s already out in the open and I recently cleaned it yesterday before the latest shut off. I’ve also checked after every shut off and the console is cool to the touch. It’s very odd, the other day I was able to play all 4 available solo battles in a row with no issue, whereas yesterday I booted up and went directly into MUT Champs and it shut off midway through the 4th quarter. I reached out to Microsoft but they said my best bet was to reach out to EA since it’s only happening on one game.
Your console isn't overheating. Mines crashed a few times since the issue started while playing this game but can play way more in depth graphical games and not have a single problem and never crashed before I got madden 24 and my game started crashing. It's the game forcing your Xbox to shut down rather than just crashing the game. My xbox has a box fan pointed at it almost 24/7 to help with air flow around the xbox and keep it cool. It's been 60 degrees in my area this week and it'll still crash. Console is cold to touch. Everything is fine with the console. Easports really messed up with madden 24. Can't wait for 2knfl to finally get going.

Ditto to this. I can't wrap my head around why only Madden exhibits the behavior. All other games I own don't have any issues. I'm not gonna pay the $300 non-warranty fee to have my Xbox serviced for a software bug specific to one game..

Tried your suggestion and it still happens but it doesn’t happen consistently. I see that I’m not the only one running into this and it sounds like this problem has been going on for years, (since Madden 21 Next Gen first released from what I remember). Is there any update on a fix/ determined the bug and is there any plans to take care of the players that are being impacted by this? It’s unfair to those of us that can’t complete certain objectives due to the game crashing/ shutting off our consoles.
Ive tried everything. I reset my settings tried clearing everything, uninstalled and reinstalled, fully logged out of my Xbox and re signed in. I even went and bought a hard copy of the game and it still is crashing every time I try to play a game. I don’t understand. Madden 24 is the only game that my console does this on.
I’m having the same issue, also Series X.
Nope this doesn’t do anything
