I have a few systems for work that I have tried running Madden 24 on now. 2 with Nvidia cards (3070 and 4060) and one with AMD 6700XT. All have Intel 12400 or greater CPU. All have 32 GB of DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. All on Windows 11. I run the game at 1440p. I set Ambient Occlusion to Low and all settings on Medium and then lock to 120 or 60 fps depending on the monitor capability I am connected to. If I use these settings with this hardware then I can run the game smoothly without issue. And it actually looks great on low to medium. But all of this hardware is top notch and seems remarkable that I have to be on low or medium settings for smooth gameplay.
Did EA design this game to be beyond the capabilities of current hardware?
One thing that is very interesting is that on the computer with the AMD graphics card, the CPU utilization is under 5% whereas for all the Nvidia cards the CPU utilization is around 70%. Maybe since Xbox and PS5 use AMD, then that is why it seems more optimized. I havent had a chance to test uncapped FPS on the AMD system but I am wondering if it might work.
Everyone here having problems is reporting Nvidia graphics. Maybe EA you need to work with Nvidia on driver optimization? There is no reason the nvidia hardware should not perform just as well.
