- @NYJFanAlpha like 32 gb ram - intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU - nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti
- @allsd3111 im also windows 10 and i have a ton of pc storage
yeah I have very similar things but gtx 1650 I'm so pissed it doesn't work
-Clear the EA app cache
- Run a repair on the Madden app
- Turn the enhanced hair off in Graphics settings
Give that a go. Still having smooth gameplay after doing that even after a full PC reboot.
I think its the enhanced hair thats causing the issues with FPS.
- @Hitchey already clearaed cache and i have the hair off, its not even it just kinda looks choppy and not smooth
it doesn't do anything in the menu but the game is extremely choppy and it isnt smooth all though my graphics are the whole way down so the game looks like *
- @allsd3111 also sometimes i just almost goes in slow motion idk why but its random and it just slows the game down
I turned off the 3D hair and turned all of my graphic settings in the game to low and still have the same issue.
- @ChampIsHere42 yeah the game is a pile of dog *
Turning the advanced hair off worked for me game play is almost completely smooth even after plays and a lot cutscenes. There are still a handful of cutscenes that drop to 30-40fps but turning the advanced hair made the game run so much better. Hopefully they can patch the advanced hair though as it does look really nice.
Disappointing to hear that its not working for others. When it does run well, it's looking very promising. Way less bugs at this stage than last year.
- @Hitchey early in last year was it really bad because this year it is so bad for me i think its way worse than what you guys get because mine is unplayable
I did that and it didn't fix it I have everything at the lowest possible settings
Mine is too its literally slow motion
I had all of my graphics set to low and hair turned off and the fps was floating between 30-50. This even with fps locked at 120.
My PC specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
16gb RAM DDR4
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060
Please fix this EA!
I just spent 3 hours trying to fix my issues and nothing worked. I’m at the point of giving up. I’ve given Madden chance after chance and they’ve always let me down. It is an absolute embarrassment that they do not even acknowledge that there is an issue. Instead, they just have a bot ask for our PC specs only to never respond with any solutions.

Guys, you can't possibly be ignoring this.
THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE ON PC! is that understood?
You can't blame everyone's PCs, it's everywhere. The CPU usage goes to 85%, it heats up like crazy, the game is laggy and can't be played.
You need to fix it and fix it now!

I tried playing last night. I have an Intel 12500 CPU, RTX 3070, 32 GB DDR5 memory, Gen4 SSD. On Madden 23 I get 4k 144 fps on Ultra settings no problem and gameplay is perfect. This one I tried all sorts of changes to lowering settings, max FPS was 80 but 1% lows are very low causing it to be very choppy. I thought maybe it was a ray tracing problem but turning that off didnt help. I will try turning advanced hair off as suggested but I dont want to use up my 10 hours EA play free trial troubleshooting the game. Will just need to wait until they fix it.
I reached out this morning and received a reply from Clint within few minutes. This makes me feel a little better.

I also tried dropping resolution down to 1440p. That didnt help at all. Literally no improvement.
Also suggestion for the developers - please make changes to graphics options available during a game so that people can make tweaks as they are playing instead of having to exit out of the current game into the main menu just to try one different setting and then restarting a game only to find the tweak they made didnt help. FIFA 23 has this ability to tweak graphics on the fly; no reason that Madden shouldn't have it too.
This gives me hope
Anyone still having issues, I managed to get the game running in 1440 at 60fps beautifully by overclocking my AMD GPU. It was being bottlenecked by my CPU, to check if yours is doing the same, go here:
https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/Why is this thread showing as resolved? It's very clearly not fixed yet.

That's crazy. We need it fixed right now.
