I am experiencing a DirectX error that is causing the game to crash. The game runs fine within the menus but crashes immediately otherwise. No issues experienced when playing Madden 24. GPU is an Intel Arc A770 with a clean installation of the latest driver as seen below
I am continuing to have the same issue with an Nvidia RTX 3060. Same error message as above. The issue is isolated to this game. I have run System File Checker, repaired game files, uninstalled and reinstalled the game file, cleared the EA App Cache. I've capped frame rate, adjusted visuals to lowest settings.
I am able to access game menus, but immediately upon entering any game I get a crash with the same error message. Any ideas?
EA Staff (Retired)Hello, I am also getting the same crash. It happens within the first 5 minutes of any game I start. I have the AMD Radeon VII and have all the latest drivers. I also have gone through and tried all of these steps below. (I purchased the game on steam and not the EA app, does that make a difference?).This problem was occuring on the launch date when I bought the game and still continues today. I am also attaching my dxdiag file.

If so do you know if clean booting your PC gives you the same error?

Looking at your dxdiag to confirm I only see it listing the "Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics" as your graphics card, I wanted to check if your device should have any other Graphics card?
If not I don't believe the intel Xe is strong enough to run Madden 25, for more information on system requirements check out our site here.

My laptop has an Intel Iris Xe as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. I attached screenshots of both in the dxdiag. This setup handles dozens of other games (including past Madden releases) without issue. I'm wondering if the game isn't recognizing the RTX and is trying to run on the Iris alone?

Thanks for confirming I might have missed seeing it in the dxdiag, can you check via the Nvidia app that Madden 25 is defaulted to run with the 3060?\
If you don't use the Nvidia app, you can try via Windows settings or with the steps in our guide here. (under "Create a gaming profile")
