@s44kos ea connect is needed for crossplay, but crossplay is only available for next gen consoles + pc.

Is Xbox One vs friend's XBOX Series X considered crossplay?
- @s44kos m25 on xbox one doesnt have crossplay at all. therefore there is no ea connect and you can also not play with/against players on series x/s or any playstation or pc. you can only play with/against players on xbox one.

Any chance you know if earlier version of Madden would work?
Ultimately, just trying to play against friend in another city so need to have Xbox ONE vs Xbox Series X. Madden 23 or 24?
i am pretty sure that older versions also only supports crossplay between the same console generations. it´s like you have 2 different games.
only option i see is that your friend is playing the xbox one version on his series x.
Wrong because I play cross play on my ps5 if I download madden 25 ps4 version or if I go to quick play and play online people are playing on Xbox because I can see it
