Cannot play superstar, its too bugged

I'm trying to play superstar as a QB but there are two huge bugs that I just don't understand. For one, I just started a career with the raiders, I'm a 68 and Geno is an 80. WHY AM I STARTING?? I appreciate the realism of sitting on the bench and working for the starting job but apparently that feature doesn't exist. And no, I also do not have a high enough relationship with Pete Carroll to be starting either, regardless of my low overall. The other bug is really frustrating. Every time I try to play a game, I start the game in the second quarter. No, I'm not sitting for Geno and then getting put in. I have simulated stats from the first quarter. I'm literally just not allowed to play the first quarter of any game. Its just auto simming it and then throwing me in the second quarter with like 10 yards to my name. I've tried changing the quarter length but it does nothing. I just want to play a full game. Not to mention the constant crashing.
