Custom Roster File "RR" Loading as 0KB / Missing Created Players

My custom-created roster file (Name: "RR") still appears in the "Load/Delete Files" menu, but it is completely empty upon loading. I spent hours creating players locally. This morning, the roster loaded fine. This afternoon, without any changes to my system or folder structure, the roster loads but contains 0 players. The file is not in the Recycle Bin, and Steam Cloud has no record of it. The file in Documents\Madden NFL 26\settings appears to have been overwritten with 0KB or corrupted data by the game engine. Checked Steam Cloud (empty), checked Windows "Previous Versions" (none), verified Steam game files, and attempted to load via Franchise mode. None worked. All locally created players have been permanently deleted by a game-side save error. I'm afraid there's no way to fix this, but I'm just sending this out the community.
