"Defense Engaged" mapping functions failing to execute properly (PC).

Original link (paragraph below) appears to have been ignored/overlooked by the EA team.
This has been broken since release and request that this be regarded as game-breaking (or nearly game-breaking) on the PC.
By comparison, the previous editions of Madden did not have this issue; with all "defensive engaged" key commands always working as intended.

As indicated on the screenshot, the asterisk represents those key commands (W, A, S, D) of the advanced defense engaged selections, which do not function as indicated; and instead each of those key commands consistently performs the same action as the "F" key command (switch position/player) after the ball is hiked.
Not only does this negate effectiveness of line of scrimmage play, but also moves player control to the wrong team position (while moving on the field), but can take the position player completely out of the play in terms of defensive coverage (instant broken play), depending on direction and speed intended for the original/chosen position.
My keyboard and PC operate fine and show no signs of malfunction whatsoever, and keymapping is set to default. 

The screenshot also shows mislabeled key assignments displayed under the game's "game controls".

(PC) "Defense Engaged", Speed rush and switch player are both assigned mid-mouse button or F key.
That's not gonna work very well for anyone.
And that's also what they call "screwing up a glass of water".
Playing pass rush/run stop from the D-Line or linebacker is very diminished compared to previous Madden editions-almost totally broken, other than general movement.
Playing defense, successful intended actions are almost entirely dependent on (AI) moves to penetrate/disrupt pass/run plays at the line of scrimmage . 

It is fair to say that this has been game breaking for this (otherwise) intended/featured choice of gameplay against the AI/computer.
There is also creates distinct, competitive disadvantage while playing H2H in MUT, against players using game pads and/or anyone with a preference/proficiency while playing pass coverage or playing off/away from the line of scrimmage.
Because of this it is far less appealing to play MUT H2H, let alone the entire game itself.
