This bug has been around now for at least 3 Maddens.
During the draft, even when picking a player with time on the draft clock, intermintently get an error message when picking a player that the Draft timer has expired. The user has to back out of the Franchise and reenter the league and draft in order to select the pick. Often times, the actual timer runs out in the process and cpu picks the player.
Madden 26 Draft Clock Expired issue. None of the fixes suggested on the internet worked EXCEPT auto-saving after every draft pick, then quitting Franchise and restarting. (To trigger autosave go to Options, Franchise and re-set any preference, back out and you'll get the autosave pop up window). If I closed without changing something in Franchise settings the Auto Save either wouldn't trigger, or it wouldn't let me draft the next player in the next round even if it did save. Turning Draft display and/or the clock on and off, pausing or un-pausing the draft itself, or any other of the equally tedious suggestions did not effect the outcome. Only Select a player, change a franchise setting, quit Franchise and restart did the trick. After every pick!
