Issue with game clock randomly skipping and adding time in franchise mode

Title sums it up but I've noticed that when I sim my franchise games, the game clock will sometimes add extra time or just give the ball to the other team entirely. I've had it where my team scored on a 2 minute drill, leaving 11 seconds on the clock, only to have 3 minutes added after kicking off. Attached is a recording of this happening, I didn't even notice that before it turned the ball over to the Pats, it added 3 minutes to the game clock beforehand.
