Superstar trade wtf

My boyfriend has been playing his superstar RB Jaquavion Jacques Tubman on the browns, at the end of the season he traded him to the steelers. Went through multiple game loaded things that come with the trade, then by the end it says hes on the seahawks. My boyfriend being completely confused, he had clipped what happened, i rewatched bc i had been sleeping, when i watched it i was just as confused!! When he goes to switch what superstar hes playing it says the RB is on the steelers but when you go into his character profile hes wearing seahawks gear. He played a game and in the top right where it says your grade for the game it says steelers, but hes playing as the seahawks. This is beyond confusing and completely stupid. Fix your game.
