Team Diamond Strat Item Causing Boot out of Ultimate Team

The Team Diamond Strat item is continuing to cause issue when trying to edit/alter the equipped chemistries from the item binder. I have tried removing/equipping the item from my lineup, editing the item from either the binder or from the lineup menu, and nothing seems to allow me to successfully edit the chems. I am kicked out of UT as are many people dealing with this issue at the moment. I feel more folks will encounter this issue now that ZC is over and people are reverting to actual theme teams that will need to leverage the item. Please provide a timely fix.
