Left Guards are terrible in pass protection.

I’ve noticed this is a reoccurring issue in past maddens, where NO MATTER the rating, the left guard that is matched up 1 on 1 against what seems like any defensive pass rusher, gets beat way too fast. For example, Tyler Smith (one of the highest rated left guards in the game) consistently gets beat in pass protection almost right after the snap. It’s so frustrating seeing that the ratings play no part in how left guards perform in pass protection. Just recently, Jordan Davis, who was 14 ratings lower than Tyler Smith and has low rated power and finesse moves, absolutely dog walks Tyler Smith in pass protection the entire game. I bet I could have a 99 left guard against any pass rusher and they would still perform like a 60 overall left guard. Very frustrating issue that has managed to remain in the game for multiple years now.

Yeah I looked at Smith's ratings, you're right. The only thing it could be is if you're playing Smith in scheme other than power.  Even with that though his archetypes are balanced so he shouldn't be awful. Or it could be your sliders.
