Player and Coach Portraits: Why no more neutral clothing?
I'm usually not one to get overly upset about small details, well, at least I try not to, but hear me out:
Look, I know they all just got updated with brand new portraits, but WHY DID THEY HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHITE JERSEY FROM THEM? This almost single-handedly ruins the overall franchise experience for me. I'm always used to the players wearing the same color, so that when they switch teams mid-season or between seasons, their portrait is neutral as they are not wearing the team they currently play for. This same problem also applies to the coaches. Why remove the coaches wearing white polo shirts? Why add a direct photo of the coach from a real-life game as their official portrait in-game? This all just does not make sense, certainly not from a franchise perspective.
I understand that not everyone likes the franchise or plays it, and I also understand that not everyone likes the plain white jerseys. But there has to be SOMETHING that you can do to make it work for BOTH franchise AND non-franchise modes. Why not use AI? Why not implement a system to change the jersey in the portrait after the player or coach switches teams? Do we not have the technology and money to make something like this happen?
I know this may sound like such a small nitpick or insignificant issue, but this just ultimately seems stupid. I would go as far as to say I would have rather kept the old portraits and gotten just new face-scans for players instead if that would be the easier option from a game development standpoint.
I'm not sure if EA or anyone who works there will see this, but I know for a fact I'm not the only one who feels this way about this new change, and I hope that we can at least get a slight change to get the players back into white jerseys because it just looks so silly and stupid, especially in franchise mode when you are only a year or two into your save file.
Again, this is all just my opinion, and I'm so sorry for venting here. I just feel like I needed to say this to get it off my chest.
