Eras players and rosters

So in the past my friends and I have made up our own type of draft where we take a team wheel and draft one player on that team and build your team with around 5 or 6 people and sim and see who beats the other or wins it all. It is fun but how great would it be if the past rosters where in the game. In a different game not associated with EA they have the majority of the old players and rosters in the game fully accessible to the franchise mode. Now I know there is MUT and that has the different players like Peyton Manning and Tony Gonzalez etc. I would just love to have that access in the franchise mode so we have the option to rebuild the franchise 25 years to the present day to see the what if. I haven't seen any fan made rosters which is the usual go to. I'm just curious if I am the only person that would want this or if the community is alright with the way it is now.
