Few things (still unaddressed) that I'm politely asking for
- Zone run blocking, needs to be more aware of 2nd level defenders when double team blocking.
- LB scrapes "under" backside lineman peels off to block them.
- LB scrapes "over" playside lineman peels off to block them. (This has been especially bad btw)
- TEs need to block...like TEs. No other way to put it.
- Give us "Adaptive AI" in online H2H games, as was advertised in the Gameplay deep dive a few months ago. Right now, coach suggestions are pretty much useless.
- I like the fact that hook/curls aren't as O.P. as they were last year, but once again...its been OVER-corrected in the other direction. Its one thing to not do well keeping leverage in "carrying/delivering" receivers but right now they look like they aren't even aware that's what they need to be doing. Granted if your zone coverage rating isn't great...you should be a step slow but standing still like a deer in headlights...nah, that's taking it too far.
- Subtle (non-turbo) QB avoidance moves, to manipulate the pocket. Scramble moves are too extreme. I'm talking about slight movements such as:
- Step up/Step back (flick right stick up/down)
- Shoulder roll step up (push and HOLD right stick up)
- Also, there should be a "back spin" to the QBs off hand added to scramble moves
- Expanded "Check with me" system for audibles. There are a number of offensive plays which are intended to look like one another (I.e. outside zone run/play-action pass). Often times there are even THREE plays which are inherently "married" to each other. My point is...instead of limiting us to the 4 audibles we set, we should have another page of play which are preset as "check with me" plays by hitting the "audible" button followed by (currently unused) pushing the L3 button. This would be where check with me plays can be found.
- Add Cover 4 and Cover 6 to pre-snap Coverage Shell adjustments.
- Lastly, and I can't stress this enough...The Light Box spam...HAS TO GO. There's a place for little guys in football, just NOT IN FRONT OF BIG GUYS. Not little guys should be able to run AROUND big guys, but once big guys put their hands on little guys...little guys get moved AGAINST THEIR WILL...CONSISTENTLY. If you throw out a 3 man line on defense and I line up in 21 or 22 personnel...that 3 man line should STILL be at a disadvantage if/when the offense decides to run the ball. Ratings or abilities be damned. Light Box cheese has long been a crutch for folks who have no interest in playing honest defense. Bottom line...if you can't get the trenches right...this might as well be an arcade game.
