Implement a "Check with me" system using the L3 (currently unused) button

I'm aware that we are able to change out audibles on-the-fly at any time.

What I am suggesting is that certain plays should have specific audibles set...regardless of any changes you make to your (4) audibles.

For example, there are a number of play-action plays which are intended to compliment certain running plays. (I.e. Wide Zone run/Bootleg), there are also many pass plays which have the same auto-motion mechanic but are different variations of one another.

What I am suggesting is that IN ADDITION to the audibles that we've set, another layer would be these "check with me" iterations as well.

Truth is that, this is how most (if not all) NFL offenses are ran this way. Offense comes out of the huddle with 2-3 and sometimes 4 different play call options. QB comes to the line, surveys the defense and either goes to the 2nd play or "cans" that audible...meaning that they're going with the original play.

I'll even suggest the button you can use..."L3" (pushing the left stick down). Its currently not being used.

So here's an example of how it would work...

  1. From play call screen, you call an inside/outside zone play. That play will have a certain "tag" showing that its got a "complimentary" play...in this scenario a play action pass.
  2. From there, offense breaks the huddle, and if the defensive look isn't good for that run you now have the option to run the "check with me" compliment by pressing (in this scenario [] (square), then the L3 button to call the "check with me play"...in this case the play-action play.
  3. Like I mentioned earlier, today's NFL offense comes out with 3 and sometimes 4 "check with me" options. So we can expand on this system by pressing "[] then L3, and then instead of having just one check with me, you've got another group of plays pre-established as compliments...like another whole page of 3 or 4 compliments. Just like the "line stunt" page introduced this year, and just like line stunts...not every play has a direct compliment. This should only apply to specific plays in your playbook.

I believe this would be a really cool feature to introduce to the game. Granted, I'm not sure what if any LIMFACS (limiting factors) come into play as far as coding, but I really shouldn't be that hard to implement.

Note: This would need to be THOROUGHLY Qc'ed before putting this in. Nothing worse that when an update goes live, and it ends up breaking the game on a fundamental level in the process.
