Madden 27 playbooks

Something I’ve thought would be really handy for custom playbooks would be to add a feature where when you’re creating a custom playbook give the option to add a play with your adjustments already coded in to your play. So say I run a defense where I already know I’m going to make certain adjustments I add a play to a playbook where I can edit that play and bake the adjustments into the play ahead of time. How I would see it working is, you go to create a playbook, find a play you want to edit. Click edit play. Edit play feature brings you to the practice field where you make adjustments as you normally would in game. Click pause button which asks if you’re done editing the play and click yes save as new play. This would allow you to have a playbook with all your adjustments made ahead of time to free you up for further adjustments vs people that quick snap and abuse glitchy offenses. Also would love to import custom playbooks into franchise why is that not a feature for auto subs. Lastly I would like a feature where you can move your defender pre snap and force him to stay there once you click off. All of this alone would make defense so much more functional.

  • I like this idea...  The way it works now, we are essentially drawing up plays on the field.  We are adjusting our way to the play we wish we had in our playbook, instead of drawing up the play and adjusting it on the field.

I have a play that is one route away from being the play I wish I had.  If I had a Singleback:Duece Flex::TE Post play where the drag was a slant, I'd be happy.  Then I wouldn't have to call that as my first Hot Route every time I run it.  Then I'd only need to "Adjust" my HB and O-Line because the routes I want would be on the field already.

It's be even better if we could put our shading preferences in the playcall...   My old hands aren't fast enough to keep up with my brain.  My muscle memory still wants to use L1 and R1 for defensive line and linebacker shifts respectively.
