Weather Settings for Individual Games

I think this idea is probably a throwback to something that used to be...

But, as awesome as the new weather effects and impacts to the game are, I think allowing players to choose the Weather for each game would be an easy addition.

I understand there might be some competitive modes or online Franchises where people may not want this option, so maybe it's an additional toggle when setting up a new Franchise. An option to allow players to change the Weather settings for each game or not.

And honestly, I'm not sure who wouldn't be happy having more control of how they get to play each game. It can be done and still keep the weather relevant to a game's geographic location, if anyone's worried about realism. As in, games in Miami can't select heavy snow, but can turn on heavy rain if that's how they want to play that game.

I often sim a large portion of Franchise season games, so when I do play, I'd love to be able to make it extra fun by deciding what weather to play in.

  • No way the weather play in madden 26 is the most realistic part of the game. Your buts to try and change it.

  • This is just the annual EA BS. Ive played 3 seasons on franchise in Buffalo and have not only NOT seen this fake game changing weather. It hasnt snowed or rained once. Ive already watched videos that show that all they did was just like their animations they try and pass off as new player physics. Overlay some graphic over the very same game play. Fact is this is what ya get when you continue to feed the EA monster. We are the ones to blame, plus, NOBODY else wants to spend the money that EA does on the NFL licensing. Its beneficial to them because they make a fortune off of the roster update and buzzwords they peddle every year. To cover it. Another company would have to offer more without even having a game in place to start competing with this garbage. It would take years for another company to get one out there and cover the cost as well as the licensing

I too am playing with Buffalo and it's always sunny it's ridiculous

  • My problem is the weather is NOT as “dynamic” as they market it to be.  Indeed it rains and snows at times.  However, unless you’re playing in Katrina conditions, downpours rarely last for 3 hours!  Playing in franchise mode and 15 minutes quarters, I’ve seen this and it’s totally NOT dynamic. In fact it’s as fictional as it gets - the NFL has postponed and suspended games in those type of conditions.  Therefore, EA loses credibility when they stand on authenticity and competition as reasons players can’t control weather settings.  I really enjoy CFB 26 more than Madden at this point

  • Question.  Why can’t the weather on madden be automatic compared to the city time of day and atmosphere.  So choices doesn’t have to be set.  If it’s snowing in buffalo and Chicago.  It will reflect on madden.  So weather does affect the outcome.  Cause many players will not pick rain or snow to play the game and then it’s a waste of time playing if it’s always sunny in Philly on the game.
