Madden 26 Squads receiving a loss after winning games

Ive been playing squads in madden for the last few years with my friend and whenever were playing a game during the season and we win it he will occasionally also receive a win and a loss. this has never happened in the playoffs yet thank god but why is this happening? does this happen to anyone else? its kinda ruining the game for us always throwing off our record and making us reset seasons. He is on PS5 and i am on PC.
