Madden Causing PS5 to Shutdown due to Overheating

Me too also !  Never had an issue and since I got this game. Franchise mode shuts off everything and can only unplug and plug back in to turn my pS5.  It happen 8 times in 3days so I can’t risk it nomore. I thought it’s a faulty disk type thing. Does this happen to those who bought it on digital?

Same thing just happened to me!  New PS5 Pro, never had an issue ever…launched my first franchise game on Madden 26 and it sounded like my system nearly exploded and shut off from overheating. I can’t believe a game could do this, it has to be happening to more people. 

Thought I had a fix, lowered the resolution on my ps5, that fixed the cut scenes, but now crashes during during the in game opening cut scene. This game is utterly unplayable. 

Mine was already set to that. 

Same problem. Cleaned the vents, followed every step I could find to fix, still crashes my ps5 anytime a cut scene tries to load. My PS5 is not even warm much less hot. Last time I loaded the game, ai tried to go change the graphics settings... That crashed it too. No other game has ever done this.

Just as a heads up for anyone else, the current workaround I've got has been to lower the graphics settings to prioritise performance. No more crashes so far but I've played every other game in the prioritise graphics/visuals and haven't had any issues.

it happens to me on every game i play on Madden26. it’s only madden that shuts off my PS5. it’s definitely an EA issue that they probably won’t fix lol

same here and each game that i play in h2h or even events and challenge causes the too hot warning to pop up every time i hope its patched soon not gonna play this game if this is gonna destroy my ps5 

I thought I was crazy, it happened to me 2 times in 2 days already!

I’m having this same issue but on Xbox Series X
