Madden h2h online

Playing h2h on the ps5 I've been noticing little bugs of the game not working correctly.  I switch to defensive backs to try to even contest a pass and sometimes the intercept/jump works and a lot of the times it doesn't. The player just stands there and they gets deep ball. Usually scoring in the situation. How does a slow dak Prescott out run my players that are faster.
