Mut squads 2v2

Everytime me and my friend try and play it doesn’t work. I can not be offense. The game allows us to play 3v3 just fine or 2v2 with him as offense but never works the way we want it to. This has been going on for 2 weeks now and it’s really getting hard to not just give up and stop playing the game.
