"Spike Ball" Glitch PC

It happens to me on Xbox series s as well

same here (Playstation 5); the random unsolicited "spike" happened so often that I don't play anymore; on average, I was playing with 3 downs

every time it happens, the practical choices are as follows:
a) let the spike happen, and lose a down;
b) use a timeout; but then you waste all your timeouts and implicitly lose points near the end of the half when you need them;
c) audible a "fake spike"; but the plays you can choose from are so limited; additionally (another bug?), the Quarterback is not responsive after a fake spike, you need to try multiple times to pass;  before it finally happen; half the time you get sacked; the other half, the timing is off and you get intercepted

so, almost every time this happens, you either voluntarily lose a down, you get sacked, or you get intercepted

this doesn't just happen once, it happens multiple times per quarter; it once happened twice to me in one set of downs; also, it seems like it happens more often if I am winning...

don't try to say that the computer-assistance doing something smart on my behalf; some of these spikes happen in first quarter when there is 13 minutes left

and don't tell me any BS about controllers or buttons; two brand new controllers that are swapped every time I play, to charge the battery; kept my fingers off all buttons before the previous plays ended, it still happened

I guess EA is just going to ignore this problem..
