Trouble playing squads crossplay - not on latest game version
me and my friend both installed the update and now can’t play squads together. i’m on playstation and he’s on pc we’ve both checked for updates/verify files, nothing fixes.

Same here, I’m on PC and my friend is on PS5. This issue is happening with any Online Crossplay gamemode. I can queue up solo fine, so can he, but we can't crossplay.
Important Note: Crossplay was working fine up until the update today, August 28th 2025. Immediately after the update we had issues.
Here’s what we’ve already tried:
- Both of us have latest patch installed.
- Both crossplay settings are enabled.
- We’re added on EA Play.
- I have completely reinstalled on PC.
- We both have cleared our local cache.
- We both forced roster updates.
- And after every change we both restarted the app or console/pc.
Despite all this, we still get blocked from crossplay with the same error.
It seems like this is a server side issue misreporting the version numbers between PC and PS5 and potentially the other consoles too. Can EA confirm this issue and let us know if a patch is coming for this issue?
