M26 Companion App - Constructive Feedback Thread

Now that the 2026 companion app finally dropped, after using it for 24 hours and being a user in years passed for MUT (I cannot speak for the franchise part of the app) , I thought it would be helpful to have a thread where we can suggest improvements for the next update which, ideally, would be possible sooner than later (this year), at least on the items that wouldn't require a lot of tuning/adjustment in order to improve app experience.

Pros:

  • Visually, this version looks cleaner than years past, and there are options on how you choose to view the items (list, tiles, etc.)
  • Having commas in prices is a huge W, and should help reduce players from accidentally overpaying for an item

Cons:

  • Filtering: in the past, when we filtered by OVR, Team, Program, etc. the app saved a long history of recent searches, so you could click on them to apply the same filters as you had set them initially, without having to apply each filter again and again. You could also delete the saved searches by search if you no longer wanted that set filter. Now, there is a way to see the past 3 searches but that's it - once you set new criteria, the third most recent search disappears from the 'search players' box. There is no 'recent search' option/filter
    • Even when using the 3 saved filters, when you exit the app and come in later, they default to 'time remaining' and 'Ascending'.  I'm certain there is data to support this, but IMO the two most useful sort by options would be 'newest' and 'buy now price'. The console auction house defaults to 'buy now price', so I'm not sure why the app defaults to the almost useless 'time remaining' option
  • No item purchase history: this is a big one. In the past when you clicked onto an item in your binder, you could see the current set of prices for that item as well as what they recently sold for, which was helpful to decide what amount to put that item up for auction. And, when you chose an item to sell that screen would show the sales history and current list of auctions. Now, when you click an item in your binder or on the item you wish to possibly purchase, you have zero insight on what it's selling for, how many are up for auction, there's no median price listed (as there is in the console catalog) - You must look on an online MUT site to what the items are selling for and how many are currently up on the auction house.  This makes zero sense.
  • When posting an item, the 'buy now' button is not on by default so you have to click it and set a buy now price each and every time
  • Posting multiple cards up for auction at once. In the past when you had more than one of the same item and wanted to post it, you could choose how many of your items you want to post. Now you can only post one at a time
  • Sets are broken. In the sets tab, despite me having the proper items for a set, when I click to redeem and confirm, I am given a message that says, 'You are not a valid Ultimate Team user, adding items to a set is not allowed'.  I am a valid user...have completed all stars in all program solos, etc. and play at least a little bit each day since launch. I can add items to set individually in the item itself, though.

If anyone else has more items to add/mention, I'd encourage you to add to this thread and then we can hope someone at EA sees the feedback (free user-testing!).
