Mut duos server connection issues

Everytime my buddy and I try to play MUT Duos it loads us into a game and then immediately kicks both of us. The message says there is an issue connecting to the server. It’s been like this for weeks now. Trios seems to work okay, with occasional desyncs, but duos is completely unplayable for my friend and I. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
