Ranked H2H Rewards

I am currently ranked at champion 3, with 3,118 RP. If I get to 3,200 RP do I get the top 100 97 overall reward or do you have to actually be top 100? I was just wondering if it’s worth it to get to 3,200 RP or would I be wasting my time as I won’t be able to catch the top 100.
