Hi i can play Franchsie online but i can’t do any head to head games for MUT or online head to head. it keeps saying Failed to start game. but it search’s for 30 seconds then the message pops up. I don’t know what to do anymore. Can you please help me thank you.

For having so much money as a company it seems they really don't care at all for these players, especially people who do spend there hard earned money on a game that works maybe half the time?, I've started to have this problem on and off and restarting the app after each game seems to be the only thing that works? How is that even possible, down right obnoxious along with the Madden being the worst one is years, This is gonna be the last Madden i buy from these crooks cause the issues are majority of the time on EA's side. Still with that said If anyone finds a way to fix this problem please respond i wont be spending another penny on this game.

Hey Kent, instead of putting it off on the customers as if it’s an error on our end why don’t you just admit that because your company has monopolize the game so much that you don’t care to provide us with a quality product... I don’t have any issues with any other game... your matchmaking is obviously flawed and you guys need to start taking accountability for it.

Hi @computers22, Can we try running through some troubleshooting steps to see if we can help get this issue fixed? I'd recommend starting off with the basic connectivity steps over at the EA Help website when you can. Those can tackle most of the common issues we see, so it may do the trick in this case as well. I am struggling to play H2H Seasons games in Madden 21 Ultimate Team on PS4.I have managed to play a few, but more often than not, I get a 'Failed to Start A Game!' message after about 10 seconds in the loading screen.I then try to go back into matchmaking, then the games simply hangs on a 'Searching For An Opponent' screen, with no way of backing out.I do not believe I have any issues on my side. I am a long standing FIFA player and can easily connect to the dedicated on-line servers for FUT. I also have Duma OS on my Netgear Router, so have a good insight into my connectivity inc Geo-Filter Settings, open ports etc etc.I am able to access MUT to play solo challenges without any issues. Is this a known problem and is there a fix? Or is this an account level issue?Thanks in advance.

Had the exact same problem. The only thing that worked for me was deleting the "saved data". On ps4 if you go to settings and choose application saved data management. From here delete all the madden 21 files and restart the game. Hope that helps

@EA_Kent This worked for maybe two games and it went right back to what it was doing before. This is crazy I can’t even play a game on here it’s ridiculous

I am having the same issue on Xbox Series X. It must have been a recent update since it was working a few weeks ago but now I can't get into a H2H game in any mode. I have tried all the connectivity steps and I have deleted and reinstalled the game. I need help here.

I have an X as well. Try all these steps and let me know if it works.

Reboot the power to the modem/router

Unplug the power cable from your modem/router for 5-10 minutes to refresh the network.

How to power cycle your Xbox console:

Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Clear Mac Address

Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.

@rjtausz Have you tried clearing the saved game data?

Highlight the game in your library and press start>Manage game. Clear the saved game data and try again.

How long are you waiting for a match to start and do you get an error message?

It looks like it was switching back and forth between double NAT and open NAT. I changed the network connection from my Nighthawk to the Cable WiFi modem and now I can join games but the quality is really bad and buffers hard.

I had Double NAT when I was messing around with my Nighthawk too. I had to use it as an access Point and then plug the Ethernet cable directly into the Nighthawk.

Do you have the WiFi disabled on your ISP router if you're emitting WiFi from the Nighthawk?

If you haven't unplugged the power to both of them lately that can help refresh the strength of your connection.
