When the game first released at 12 I went to login and it wouldn’t let me connect to the servers to play anything online, so I just assumed it was because everyone was on the game at once. But still everytime I go to try and login and play online it says I can’t connect to the EA servers.
@Mike262613I figured out my problem, like you guys i was trying to play anything, mut, fotf, anything and it wouldnt do anything. I would get the error with no message. and it was just a loop.
I kept trying all day and couldnt figure it out.
Then i download the EA app on my pc, and tired to link my PSN to there. It said my PSN was already connected to another EA.
Then i traced my last 3 emails i had used and it was a older PSN username, that wasnt even on my PS5. But im guessing since i played Madden 17 (last madden i played), i think i might have used that PSN username and linking ea to that PSN when playing madden 17.
Once i tracked it down all i did was add that older PSN profile username, and then reopened Madden 23 and bam i was in.
I tired to use the new profile i created with PS5 (the same one i was using today) and it did not work, it has to be the PSN profile that is connected to EA.
PLEASE EVERYONE TRY THIS!!!
I’m having the same exact problem, when I try to play my connected franchise game it won’t let me switch over to my team.
When I try to Invite a Friend to a Head 2 Head match, my game crashes.
When a friend invites me, I get an error message saying the session has timed out.
But when I try playing on another account it works fine.
EA Needs to do something about this ASAP
They need to fix this soon. It's getting old, sometimes it finally connects after I keep spamming to connect. Then most of the time it doesn't.
It’s funny because I’m actually connecting, and can play full games. The problem comes when I load up connected franchise, and when I invite friends to play.
And it’s only one profile that does this. The Main one.

I am having similar issue except I haven’t been able to play at all. Keeps asking to reset credentials. I am using ps5, I have ps plus subscription & wired network.
I actually chatted with EA support, and they said that my PSN was linked to a deleted EA account, and unless that deleted account could be recovered, via the email that it used to sign up, it was unrecoverable, and thus outside their ability to fix.
so either I filter through the haystack of old email accounts, most of which have long since been deactivated by their host servers, or I’m SOL..

The actual problem is that when I search my issue on google it pulls the same problem year after year. “Most polished release” yet I haven’t been able to play for 2.5 days. First 2042 now this. A continuous slap in the face to unbelievably loyal customers for decades. Free to play games get released and have years of returning players. Stop making annual releases and give us something that we deserve for the billions of dollars that are forked over by hard working people. Unreal
I don’t think they have a clue what’s going on. I haven’t been able to play the game since install. The error message, “unknown login error occurred” sounds like something they weren’t even prepared for and don’t even understand.
I still can’t play Madden 23 and it’s now day 4 of trying all the elementary suggestions they are giving. Seriously, reset and unplug console and router??? What is this 1995? As our senseless fearless leader would say, “Come on man”.
I just want my money back at this point, I've been playing madden since 92, this is the worst rool out ever, how do i get a refund????
