Madden 23 freezing all game modes PS5

They dont care take the game back or get a refund u wont be playing madden this year

It did the same with Madden 22, this is frustrating and they either don't know what it is or don't care. They continue to pacify the issue telling you to reload the game, clear the cache etc....DOESNT WORK!!!!!! I can PLAYING OTHER GAME WITHOUT ISSUE. What a shame....wasted over $150 in 2 years only to be ignored smh 🤦🏿 

I was hoping that this issue was unique to me given what I experienced with Madden 22 but it is disheartening to see the issue affected many other players. Despite that the issue remains unresolved. It is also frustrating that not a single EA sports representative has offered any solution or even commented on this thread. The generic trouble shooting steps do nothing and they offer no support beyond that. I have purchased and played every single madden since 2001, this will be my last. I’m going to fight for a refund and I will not be returning to this game. Bugs and issues with the game are to be expected, but the total lack of effort and communication for the Madden team is disgusting and unacceptable. 

Currently going through this, can’t even get passed the initial install game and it freezing during intros of the teams. Getting my money back.

Summarize your bug Only one particular game franchise crashing- only in gameplay (PS5 version only) My PS5 has ran smoothly since I purchased December 2020 except for running one particular game. Last year I pre ordered digital version of Madden ‘22 and everything worked fine in the menus, but as soon as it got into actual gameplay, the game would freeze, crash, and show CE-108255-1. The OS still works and the game audio is still working before crashing. The crazy part is that the PS4 version worked fine. I even tried to buy the disc version to no avail. My warranty was expired so I settled to play the PS4 version. Fast forward a year later and I ignorantly thought it was a fluke since I have played numerous games with zero issue since. I once again pre order Madden ‘23, and it did the exact same thing. I can’t even get through the epilogue game you have to play to open the main menu. It freezes as soon as gameplay begins. Only this game. I did all troubleshooting from settings adjustments, changing monitors, different cables, reinstalling software, rebuilding database, reinstalling the game, all the way to removing the fan and cleaning with compressed air. I read a few posts about issues stemming from clogged PSU, but most of them had their entire systems crashing. Since it’s one game, it has happened in consecutive years, and it happens on other consoles, I’m 100% convinced this is an EA/EA Play account related issue.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Enter any form of Madden (PS5 version) gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? Game freezes with audio continuing, PlayStation OS still functional. Eventually crashes and asks if I would like to report.
What do you expect to see? Someone wake up and do something. I shouldn’t have to settle for the ps4 version. 

Has there been a fix yet? I’ve tried all the PlayStation tips to try and correct the error it is giving me but nothing works

Just wanted to check in for my now “annual” report. Madden 24 is doing the exact same thing. Set my user settings when first launched and as soon as it opened up the initial practice drills, it froze. 

This is now the 3rd consecutive madden I have been unable to play. Three years and still zero answers. I’ve done all trouble shooting steps, deleted & factory reset, even got a new ps5 (EA’s recommendation) to no avail. Luckily this year I used the 10 hour access trial to avoid getting scammed out of any more money than I already had.

I am almost 100% sure this has something to do with our EA account in some capacity. So please stop blaming Sony, Windows, or Xbox, and attempt to look at the common denominator in all of these cases.  

Any suggestions are welcome. 

Got the freeze ups on Madden 22, as well. Figured 23, might work.  GLAD DIDNT SPEND $69 for the download !!!!
