I agree. I love the game when it works. I wouldn't be advocating for it to get fixed or for EA to do better if I didn't believe in this game. If they fix this save file issue (actually fix it) then I will feel great just being able to play the game without the stress of losing the hours it took to build a franchise. Fix save files and I can calm down a bit as I hope for new (or the return of old) features.
Beyond save files I'd love to see the following additions:
1. Give me the option to play any game I want without having to own all 32 teams.
2. Team history - let me look at every individual teams history and overall season records since the franchise started (past and future season's I play). Like NCAA 14 had.
3. At least 32 options for team relocations. Not having 32 is extremely frustrating when trying to create a full "fantasy league". (what I mean by this is having 20 fake created teams in a league with 10 real teams is incredibly frustrating and kills the potential).
4. Minicamps return.
5. More music variety - Bring back some classic madden tunes for us older players. Milk the nostalgia with this and a working product.
6. Expand the end game from 30 seasons to 45 or 60 like NCAA.
7. Add a trophy/banner case that seems meaningful.
Do all of this and keep it in a good running state and I'll throw money at them until something better comes along. Shoot they get the save files alone working and I can temporarily look past the rest of the slow progress toward something better.
Do we deserve better? Absolutely, but at the minimum we deserve a working product.
More than anything I want to push EA because I know they can build something better than this. NCAA 14 felt like peak EA sports to me. Now they are just lazy and it shouldn't be something they want to be known for.
In all reality what do they care though. They continue to make insane profits on it despite our grumbling, suggestions, and feedback. If nothing else this feels more like a centralized complaint forum to keep people from complaining else where. It doesn't help that half the player base is so young that they didn't experience franchise and superstar mode when it was at its best and now if you were to go back and play it... It simply feels dated because it is. NCAA 14 has held up well in my opinion though. They really should use that as an example for both Madden and the next NCAA game. Rant/bump over.

@kansas82 I still can’t believe this is the same company behind NCAA 14. That really was peak EA sports. Maybe one day we will see another great football game. Wether that’s Madden or hopefully 2K
- Ran into the offline franchise crash. Year 4 week 13, Playstation 5. When I go to load franchise it goes dark and then come right back to the load franchise screen.
Glitches and bugs, such as to many interceptions are one thing, but to have a game where actual modes are unplayable is just unacceptable.
Upper management at EA should be outraged but we know as long as MUT is making money they won't care. Their board and upper management should be stripped of their jobs not outraged. They are the ones allowing this crap to fly. It starts at the top.

I sent them a private message on Twitter at ea help and guest what no respond. But saw somebody this morning hashtag fix madden franchise and ea help respond right away. So they just care about their image but behind close door they don't care about us franchise players!

I appreciate you trying to spread the word and awareness about this issue. I encourage everyone to make as much noise about this anyway you can. EA can remain silent but we will not.

Madden 22 /23 offline franchise Save corruptionEA me and many other fans have been patiently waiting for some kind of update or resolution for a fix on this game breaking bug But we have not received anything but complete silence on your end. it's been 2 years and it's as if no one cares at EA even when there are thousands of people dealing with this.
So I'm attempting to reach out to see if we can get some kind of response as to when we can see a fix or as to why this hasn't been addressed yet. All we want is for a company to be responsive and honest
With their customers not leaving us in the dark we spent our hard working money to play this game and it's full entire Glory as intended by the publishers but when there is an issue with the product we deserve a Swift resolution for a fix so we as a customer can enjoy the product as intended. Yes I have submitted many bug report on this. it's just frustrating it's been 2 years and it hasn't been fixed and when we ask for some kind of update no one ever replies the bug started at the end of Madden 21 cycle and still on going with the current title Madden 23.EA Help

Just lost my chise last night. The same one I had since day 1. Let's say I'm pretty upset to keep it PG.
Was in I believe 2027-2028 and finally decided to use a custom draft class to draft Russ Wilson's heir. Got to week 17, played the titans and the game dashboarded. My autosave was corrupt and my manual save was 6 weeks behind, yup that was my bad.
Anyway, deleted the autosave and when the screen reloaded, BOTH of my saves were gone. Didn't even choose to delete the manual save, once the auto was gone so was the manual. Kinda broke my spirit at that point.
I have really enjoyed this year's game up to that point. But only 5 years of a said 30 year franchise guarantee?
What sucks is I cant get a refund as I have a physical copy.
Manual save doesn't work either...... i have had corruption now probably 4x and i'm done..... This last time i was making sure to make manual saves so i would have a backup and both will NOT load now so they both are hosed somehow....... I"m done, trading this junk back in and NOT buying it ever again, I LOVE building a winner but not possible with this junk game!
