Hi @EA_Barry Wondering if you were of the opinion that 1 reply in 2 weeks to 5 posts to a serious issue is "good" customer service?

Literally any acknowledgement that the issue is being looked into by the dev team would be appreciated. I'm sure you can understand my frustration when bug reports about "X challenge not working" or "Y reward not attainable" seem to garner much better responses, when I can't even load the game I have paid for. I'm sure i'm not the only one with this issue.

2 weeks since last blue post. Absolutely shocking.

Also, if you happen to have the game and Origin/Steam on different hard drives, check if the issue persists with everything on your C:\ drive.

Sadly, I noticed that Madden 22 had an update available, and I am now unable to get to the title screen.

Attempting to play through Steam or Origin or the .exe all result in steam flickering between pages and refreshing multiple times.

No game executable is launched.

I have 7GB space available on my Windows drive, and I reserve that for system swap file, I install no applications on my Windows drive so unfortunately I cannot attempt this, nor do I agree I should have to.

I have attempted the DLL swap from Madden 21, but sadly to no avail. Also I note that thread talks about fixing freezes, not an inability to launch the application. Thoughts?

Quick update. Am now able to recreate getting to the title screen, watching 5 or 6 loading squares, and having the application crash to desktop again. I managed to get this behaviour by having Steam in non-elevated mode, Origin in non-elevated mode, BUT have to put Origin/EaLink.exe in administrator mode.

I can then launch the application (to the title screen!), by launching through Steam (with Origin not running), but not through Origin directly. In fact, the game doesn't launch if Origin is running at all.

Some more troubleshooting:

• Please remove your G15 GamePanel LCD and any other peripherals other than your mouse and keyboard. 
• Perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 or http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
• It may be worthwhile checking if a new Windows User Account has any effect here.

Thanks, however these are ridiculously complex requirements that I seriously doubt will fix anything.

Hi. Did as clean a boot as I could (require USB and networking for instance), but same issue that I cannot boot.

Tried launching from both Origin and Steam, and this time I am unable to get to title screen, instead Origin just refreshes twice (it minimises however I launch) and the game crashes before opening an application window.

A new WIndows User Account fares slightly better in that I am able to see the title screen, loading squares disappears, shows 3 more then crashes to desktop. @EA_Barry 

Madden 22, is doing the samething to me it loads and then flash back to some help.ea.com and back to main menu its a pain. And then it just kick me back to desktop..ahhh

So I booted computer, steam, fifa 22 via Steam (to open origin and the fifa launcher), then Madden 22 through Steam. It hung, after using 1.2Gb of Memory. See above for a whocrashed analysis of the dump file I was able to get. Notice Madden.sys is given as the crash reason again. Please fix your faulting application, many thanks.

Over a week and no reply. Award winning customer service this is most certainly not.

Please acknowledge bug report and detail provided. and provide an update on a date for a fix please?

I'm owed much much more than that I would hope you would agree. So far i'm the purchase price of the game plus time spent investigating the issue down, with no recompense so far...

Or are you hoping I just go away and never try and recoup the cost price of the application that doesn't boot.

Pretty sure I have a strong case here, but would appreciate a developer to actually respond to my stack trace analysis.

Bump. Unbelievable this is the level of support you offer paying customers. I've put my own time and effort into solving your issue, and you haven't even the decency of a reply.

Honestly, thought it'd give the EA App some time to mature, but issue still exists.
EA App flickers and no game is launched. If I try and boot through Steam and double click the executable and launch through EA App at the same time, and the moons of Saturn align, I can sometimes get to the window with Brady and Mahomes for 7-8s before it just crashes.

And rebooting EA App fixed. Can now play Madden.
